Correlation and Scattergrams

This applet illustrates the appearance of scattergrams for values of the correlation coefficient between -1 and +1. This is similar to Figures 9.1 to 9.3 on p. 143 of Fundamental Statistics for the Behavioral Sciecnes.

  How-To:
Drag or click in the slider bar to select different values for the correlation coefficient. The graph changes continuously so that the scattergram matches the correlation coefficient. Use the "Switch Sign" button to jump between positive and negative values of the same correlation.
