Thomson Learning is proud to announce a series of on-line seminars called WebShops. As part of Thomson Learning's TOTAL support package, these seminars will offer WebTutor training support to our valued WebTutor adopters.

WebShops will provide instructors using the WebTutor product with training designed to help them develop and implement the use of WebTutor in their courses. Initially, WebShops will focus on the use of WebTutor on the WebCT platform.

Today's students require highly effective first-year seminars that help them discover personal meaning, determine academic purpose, and develop the skills they need for success. The Seven Features of Highly Effective First-Year Seminars will help you develop or improve your first-year college success course for your own classroom and your institution as a whole. The day will be spent examining the seven features of Highly Effective FYSs in a highly innovative and interactive format that includes afternoon mini-workshops led by subject matter experts from within the group.

 

Registration Fee
The first three participants from an institution adopting a Brooks/Cole College Success text will attend the event for free.

Additional participants from that institution who are also adopting the text will pay a registration fee of $65 per person.

Participants not currently using one of our college success textbooks will pay $110 per person.

If there is a team of 6 or more from a single institution, they will pay $65 per person.
